Genesis 7:19 – “The water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered (NASB).”
In keeping with this week’s theme of water, today’s scripture tells about the great flood which prevailed upon the earth in the time of Noah. As man’s sin became outrageous God ‘rebooted’ the entire global system by causing a great washing to come upon the face of the earth. Noah, his family and the selected animals survived the watery doom by riding out the storms in an ark of safety.
God’s love and grace through Jesus Christ are our arks of salvation that lift us above the mountains of trouble, doubt, discouragement, chaos, depression and anxiety. Whenever you encounter obstacles that try to hinder your path, use the rising waters of salvation to lift you above whatever the issues are so that you can clear the obstructions and prevail.
