Simple Things Matter

Genesis 1:28 – “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Yesterday we officially celebrated Earth Day but every day is truly earth day when we listen to what God tell us through his scripture. He said to mankind that we are to be resourceful and to have dominion over His works. He populated the globe with fish of every kind, beasts of the field, birds of the air and everything that had life. He instructed us to be good stewards over his creation and to be watchful and mindful over the planet that we occupy.
We always hear about natural disasters such as earthquakes and lightening-generated forest fires and of course torrential rains and flooding. These of course lead to disastrous results for humans and animals on the surface of the planet; but we are not oblivious to the fact that we cause many glitches in the ecosystem by our acts.
Air pollution from uncontrolled emissions; excessive waste which could be eliminated by recycling; overzealous deforestation and the list goes on and on. Each day we individually impact our planet. You might think that your ‘footprint’ is only a small contribution to the world’s system; however small things to add up and they do matter. Today be mindful of what impact you have on our world. Do not throw things out that can be recycled; do not littler; use products that support efforts to keep our planet free of chemicals which deplete the ozone levels and send a small contribution to support organizations that act as whistle-blowers of big corporations that damage our world and cover-up their actions. . Simple things do matter
Every day is a good day; it is up to us to make it a GREAT day! Be blessed – Rev. Dr. JoAnn
