Reconnect and Rekindle

Philippians 2:28 – “ I am the more eager to send him, therefore, that you may rejoice at seeing him again, and that I may be less anxious.”     Over the past few weeks I have been cleaning out storage bins from my attic and discovering boxes and albums full of pictures. Many of the pictures are aged and some of those images have faded so much so that the people and places are indistinguishable. However there are many shots that instantly draw back to memory fun, funny and even fanatical times. I started to wonder what many of these people are presently doing, who is still alive and where they might be living. I like the wonder of social media and how many programs like Face Book can be great search engines to reconnect and rekindle old relationships.
     If there is someone that you miss and they keep coming up in your spirit do not be dismayed. God is so awesome and he loves reunions. He wants us to be reunited - for that is the core of the redemption story. When Adam sinned and put a great divide between mankind and God, Jesus came to bridge that gap. Ask the Holy Spirit to work on your behalf and then trust, wait and believe. This weekend start the ball rolling to close the gap on a special relationship what has gone dormant for some time. Reach out and reunite with whomever the Holy Spirit brings to your heart and mind. Your spirit will rejoice for it.
