Best Christmas Ever

A very good friend said something to me yesterday that really sums up the magnificence of this day-she said that "this is the best Christmas ever".  Her sentiment is not based on just reality but on the  proclamation to make "right now" the best hope and vision.   On this very special day focus on the present time -- not worrying about what happened in the past;  not engaging in what the future may bring but enjoying the life that the birth of Jesus has given to us today. As the day progresses you may find that some of the things you want or expected may not happen. Don't let it interrupt your joy of why we truly celebrate Christmas.  Jesus came that we may have life and life more abundantly . That is not to say that everything you desire will be under the tree or that circumstances or people will behave or respond the way you anticipate. Some things may happen that are out of your control and might try to dampen your mood.  Don't let them steal your joy.  The roast is too done; the cake didn't rise, the rice is undercooked, dinner guests are late , the cable goes out and even worse the plumbing gets clogged.... count it all a part of the memories of the day but stay in the realm of praise. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulders.  His name shall be called Wonderful , Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of PEACE.  Enjoy your day and make someone else happy today and see how much happier you will be also. Every day is a good day; it is up to us to make it a GREAT day and the BEST Christmas ever!! Be blessed! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Dr. JoAnn
