saiah 54:14 – “You will be built on goodness. You will be safe from cruelty and fear. So you will have nothing to fear. Nothing will come to hurt you.
When things are uncertain or when you are in an unknown place, nothing is as reassuring as having someone tell you that you are safe and that there is nothing to fear. Especially if that information is coming from a trusted source. God tells us that we are built on goodness. We have to learn to trust God’s word and walk and live in the victory upon which his truth is founded.
Is this to say that we will never be placed in a dangerous situation or that terror will never knock at our door? Of course not, we have no control over the wiles of the world or the influences and actions of evil or just strange happenings; but what God’s word does tell us is that we have command over how we approach and react in uncanny situations. An old familiar hymn says that ‘our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness - we dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean in Jesus’ name.’
The foundation of our peace of mind and assurance comes from our believing and trusting that God shall provide the best path for our destiny. That path may require a bit of struggle and even some set-backs but the greater good of the journey will be our victory in Christ. Our tests will be our testimonies and our testimonies will be that all things work together to glorify God. Don’t sweat the small stuff and compared to our BIG GOD everything is small stuff. Every day is a good day; it is up to us to make it a GREAT day! Don’t be distracted, stay focused on your purpose! Be Victorious! Be blessed! Dr. JoAnn
