Isaiah 54:2,3– “Make your tent bigger. Open your doors wide. Don’t think small! Make your tent large and strong,3 because you will grow in all directions.”
In my home office I have a large white board upon which I have written “Dream Big – Live Large”. This has been my charge for the past few months and I am heavily leaning on this phrase as we approach and enter 2017. As one of my wonderful neighbors constantly reminds us, “victory is ours”. Her gentle yet firm reminders are so needed to keep us focused on the fact that all that we yearn for and desire is already achieved…the victory has happened…we must gather in the spoils. To do this we must learn to expand our thinking, enlarge our horizons and live in the fullness that God has already provided. God created it; Jesus died to purchase it; we acknowledged belief in it and now we must substantiate it by living in it.
Whatever your plans, if you can achieve them on your own…then you aren’t thinking big enough. If you can grasp it with your own power, then you aren’t living large enough. The truly great achievements can only come through submission to and commission with God.
Every day is a good day; it is up to us to make it a GREAT day! Don’t be distracted, stay focused on your purpose! Be Victorious! Be blessed! Dr. JoAnn
