1Peter 2:9 —“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;”
Of course the fever pitch on everyone’s lips centers around the movie “Black Panther”. The movie featured great cinematography, great acting, a wonderful script; which embodied more than just the dialogue of the comic superhero motif but a lot of underpinning messages all of which point to what our Scripture says today. Yes when God selects you for a particular mission, you are “chosen” and often to the world will appear to be “peculiar”.
In the movie, as in most tales with heroes on a quest, there will always be opposition, internal conflict and a touch of romance. God has each of us slated to be the hero in some part of his Kingdom building; therefore you know there will be opposition, obstacles and even self doubt as you work through internal conflicts, but God’s Love, his care and protection will shoulder you through the darkest of situations. Stay focused on the fact that you are chosen, unique and set apart for greatness. You can and will make a difference in many ways.
