Acts
14:36 – “And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again
and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.” (NIV)
When was the last time you called a friend
or family member just to check on them? Not wanting or needing them for anything;
just to see how they are doing and if they need any assistance? Well today
think about a friend or family member you have not talked with for a while and
give them a call. It does not have to be
formal or even long; just do as Paul and Barnabas illustrate in today’s scripture
and see how they are and let them know they are remembered. If there is
something you can help with offer to be of assistance. Offer to pray with and for them and then
before you end the conversation be sure to let them know how you feel about the
specialness of the relationship. If they live close enough, schedule a time to
see them face-to-face in the near future.
Life is too short to let time separate us from those we care about. Make the call.
Every day is a good day; it is up to us to make it a GREAT
day! Don’t be distracted – stay focused on your purpose. Be blessed – Dr. JoAnn
