"Fall in Love"

Joel 2:23 - "Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains because he is faithful. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before."
I just love autumn. It is my favorite time of year and what I enjoy most about it is the fluctuation in the weather. It is great to anticipate morning rains, warm days and cool evenings often accompanied by a little breeze. As the leaves begin to change color and the daylight grows shorter I enjoy working in my yard and preparing it for winter dormancy. Time to plant bulbs which will awaken and bloom next spring. Time to fertilize and prepare the grass for its latent period as it sleeps during winter. All of my fall blooming plants are opening and presenting their colors to the sky. As we embrace that summer is fading and preparing for the bite of winter, it is wonderful to seize the beauty of the autumn season.
Take a few moments during the day to glance around and notice during this season of change how nature is preparing for what lies ahead. God prepares us through subtle transitions to be ready for the abrupt changes that are certain to infiltrate our lives. He uses easy-to-handle changes to strengthen us, toughen us and prepare us for the more staid lessons that lie ahead.
Every day is a good day; it is up to us to make it a GREAT day! Have an awesome weekend. See you on Monday (my son Charles’ birthday) Be blessed! Rev. Dr. JoAnn
