Galatians
3:28 – “Now, in Christ, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Greek, a slave
or free, male or female. You are all the same in Christ Jesus.”
As more marches are planned and more legislations
are challenged about police brutality and citizen interaction; one thing must
remain at the forefront of all discussion – all life matters. While I am a vocal supporter of voting our
conscience, I am also even more outspoken about praying in the spirit for those
vying for leadership positions. Only God
knows the hearts of men and we can only trust what they say will actually
manifest itself when they take positions of power. Our scripture today reminds us that it does
not matter about background, origin, race or gender, we are all the same in Christ
therefore we must treat everyone as Christ did.
An important concern is
that we speak up to those who do not know the love of Christ and introduce them
to his glory. The best sermon is not being
preachy from on a soapbox or wagging a critical finger in the face of someone
who may not practice a particular faith-walk but to live your life in a way
that everyone can ‘see’ the Christ in you.
Live and love in a way that shows those around you that all life matters
and that Christ died to save us all.
Every day is a good day;
it is up to us to make it a power-packed GREAT day! Don’t be distracted; stay
focused on your purpose! Be blessed! Dr. JoAnn
